I did rename the vanilla folder that was created on install just in case my copy didn't have the expected results I could go back to the 'good' copy, but nope. after installing the Slack desktop app on your new box, just copy this folder from your old one: C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Slack This seems like it'd be a common thing to do, but I just couldn't find anything that said "here's how you do it". I signed up a long time ago and haven't had to remember the team names And what are the names of those other 11 teams I pop in and out of? What was the name of that team I literally mess in all day? Not having done a fresh install on a fresh machine in quite some time, seeing the blank page asking me to "Sign in to a team" caught me off guard. I just moved into a new laptop and, of course, installed Slack.
